Learn from the foremost international change experts at the industry leading 2012 ACMP Africa Conference

You will have an unparalleled opportunity to learn from some of the foremost international thought leaders in Change Management at the industry leading 2012 ACMP Africa Conference.

Thought provocative topics that are both the 'core' and the 'edge' of change management

The conference programme has been purposefully designed to address global principles and practices that are both at the core and the edge of accomplishing meaningful and sustainable change. By ’core’ we mean trusted, long-established practices that prove to reap results and remain at the heart of Change Management. And by ‘edge’ we refer to alternative or new forward-thinking methodologies that are not traditionally viewed as part of this practice, but that can further the objectives of Change Management, if applied correctly.

Gain substantial food for thought from our keynote speakers

Our thought provoking keynote speeches will be delivered by Dele Olojede from Nigeria and Dr. Steven Cady from the USA.

Dele Olojede is an international multi award-winning journalist, who has been listed by Fast 100 as one of the top 100 most creative people in business. Dele’s journalistic work in African countries led him to the belief that most people do not truly understand the duties, privileges and responsibility of citizenship under democratic rule, because there is no history of centralised government up until 50-60 years ago. His speech: ‘How do we change the mindsets of our citizens to flourish in a democracy,’ will outline how people need to learn to be democratic citizens just as they learn to drive machinery, fly aeroplanes or teach a class of school children. He will furthermore explore the social change that needs to happen in order to change the mindsets of citizens and illustrate how media can be leveraged for that.

Dr. Steve Cady is a faculty member at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, USA, where he serves as Director of Institute for Organisational Effectiveness. He publishes, teaches, speaks and consults on topics of organisational behaviour and psychology, change management and organisation development around the world. His interactive session, ‘Meaning Making: The Art and Science of Collaboration,’ promises to get you off your feet right from the start. He will utilise core principles of collaboration and let us explore each other’s experience and jointly take ownership of our future together. He will furthermore demonstrate how to apply meaning making tools and collaborative processes to create conditions where people are enabled to support and defend that which they helped to create.
