Binfire is a secure online project management and collaboration application targeted at distributed teams. It aims to create an online virtual office by bringing together project planning, co-ordination, communication and collaboration into one space.
Group chat
Group chat is built into the application and is available in all pages. The chat is a secure communication tool where only people who have access to the project can participate. The user can start a chat session with another project member and invite others to the conversation as needed. All conversations are automatically archived and available later to view.
Attach files and comments
Multiple files can be attached to tasks or comments. This allows the user to gather all relevant documents about a task or comment in one place. The documents can be updated anytime during the project.
Interactive whiteboard
Members of a project can brainstorm using the interactive whiteboard. The whiteboard is a real-time display window that allows multiple people to write, draw or post images – with everyone having the same view in real time.
Work breakdown structure
Binfire’s WBS allows users to break down a large project into tasks and then sub-tasks – a process that can be continued up to six levels deep.
Interactive Gantt
The interactive Gantt lets the user change task duration, percentage completed, and start and end dates in the chart. This tool attempts to make planning a project easy by providing a graphical representation that identifies bottlenecks and critical paths.
