Intelligence Transfer Centre will be hosting their inaugural conference on “Lean Principles In Maintenance & Asset Management” scheduled for  10th -11th  June 2014 at Gallagher Estate, Midrand.

This conference was developed and produced in light of the recent business trends showing that lean maintenance and effective asset management eliminates waste within your organisation and in turn provides you with financial rewards and increased productivity. This trend has now been coupled with the much anticipated release dates for the final ISO 55 000 standards, which is proposed to be released in the first quarter of 2014.

Nonkululeko Sindane will be delivering a keynote address from the perspective of Department of Justice being awarded the “Lean Institute Africa Diamond Award 2012”.  The South African Maintenance Association will also form part of our unrivalled speaker faculty with Anton Booysen delivering a hard-hitting presentation on international trends of the ISO 55 000 standards.

A full day workshop focusing on “Understanding and creating value from the new ISO 55000 suite of standards for the management of physical assets” aims to help you achieve total productive & efficient maintenance standards across all sectors of Africa.

Also featuring on the panel of speakers will be: Transnet, Sasol, Nedbank, Lonmin Platinum, Department of Health – Western Cape and Hansens Engineering – Automotive Components, these organisations will provide in-depth and concise case studies on implementing lean within their organisations.

Leading and cutting edge discussions to be tabled among others include: Equipping your organisation to pass maintenance audits, looking at what will an asset management standard do for your organisation in the long term, problem solving in the case of unscheduled breakdowns and the advantages of creating a lean thinking organisation.
