Project Finance: A Comprehensive Toolkit

Project Finance: A Comprehensive Toolkit will be taking place from 16 to 17 May 2013 at Crowne Plaza The Rosebank, Johannesburg. Organised by marcus evans, the course trainer is Michael Atkinson, director at Kijani Consulting, who is a highly accredited and well-versed trainer.

The management of the finance of a project could mean the eminent life or death of the project. This crucial aspect of a successful project, however, has been repeatedly overlooked and mismanaged. In many cases, the financial tasks have been divided and managed by several different departments within organisations, to the detriment of many projects.

The question of 'who manages what' is continuously asked, and the impacts of this can be seen in the number of projects that are abandoned due to the mismanagement of funds.

Not only are organisations facing challenges in the day-to-day management of the finances, but the pre-project stage poses obstacles in functioning feasibility studies as well as the critical task of attracting funds and investment to finance the project in the first place. If you are struggling to cope with any of the above, this event should not be missed.

The course provides a cradle-to-grave analysis of project finance, equipping one with the right tools to conduct comprehensive risk assessments, design and utilise financial models, and construct extensive working budgets. Practitioners will also be given guidance in the ongoing management of cash flow while the project is taking place, and preparing themselves for any unexpected direction the project may take. Vital contractual tasks within the project will be highlighted and essential frameworks covered to provide attendees with an all-inclusive course on achieving project success.

The event is proudly endorsed the Project Management Institute South Africa and accredited with 7 PDUs point per day. This event is proudly supported by The Project Manager publication.
